SecureUS is a political action committee with a focused mission: to train Democratic candidates for federal office to think and talk about critical national security issues facing the United States. SecureUS provides interactive training and materials to help candidates pass voters' "gutcheck" on national security issues.
Founded in 2005 by Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-CA), SecureUS helped elect 19 new Democratic House members and supported more than 30 challengers in the last election cycle. In 2008, we will again provide training, materials and financial assistance to Democrats running for federal office.

- The old ways of defending America have not worked against present and looming threats. We no longer face armies on the march. Today, we face terrorist networks and outlaw regimes attempting to acquire chemical, biological or nuclear weapons and attack our homeland. We need bold, fresh ideas and strategies on how to stop these threats. And we need the ability and confidence to communicate these strategies clearly to an anxious electorate.
- Americans across the spectrum want leaders who will protect our country with strong and sensible national security policies. Democratic candidates must be able to articulate such policies in order to win on election day.
What We're Reading
